Meador brings 24 years of channel sales experience to the position, having led acquisition and partner support teams and managed channel-specific e-commerce procurement platforms
SUNNYVALE, CALIFORNIA – JULY 19, 2022 – Leading cyber insurance broker DataStream has appointed Larry Meador as its new Channel Chief, a move that helps further deepen the firm’s partnerships with MSPs, MSSPs and other channel professionals. The announcement also comes as the company expands its coverage area outside the U.S. into Canada — and continues to make policies available for more MSPs.
“The channel is my home,” Meador said. “I have so much respect and admiration for the IT and cybersecurity professionals here who are dedicated not only to supporting clients, but other partners as well. We intend to help everyone better protect themselves from cybercriminals, while easing the headaches associated with insurance-related tasks. As end users increasingly adopt more of the best available cyber practices and tools, ITSPs will watch their defenses — and profits — rise.”
Meador joined DataStream in December 2021 after previously serving as the channel manager at GreenLink Networks — a channel-only VoIP provider. For the previous 17 years, Meador was Senior Regional Manager for CNET Content Solutions, providing IT and consumer electronics content for e-commerce sites. He also served in sales and management positions with Circuit City Stores, Computer City and Corel Software.
“Larry’s extensive channel experience is invaluable for DataStream,” said company CEO Andy Anderson. “His vast network of industry connections is a major factor in our ongoing success as we continue to drive more channel business and expand our partner network. He’s a respected authority in the MSP, MSSP and ITSP community.”
